    A Circuit Court jury found Scott D. DeAngelo, guilty of Murder in the Second Degree and Arson in the First Degree for killing 33-year-old Demond Cox with a knife and then setting Cox’s Pearl City apartment on fire on February 7, 2022.

  • Man found guilty of game room murder

    A Circuit Court jury found Kawika Kanakanui, guilty of Murder in the Second Degree and three firearms offenses in the shooting death of 33-year-old Bryson Okada at an illegal game room in Honolulu on May 18, 2022.

  • Man found guilty of 2019 Wahiawa murder

    A Circuit Court jury found Kai Dela Cruz, 25, guilty of Murder in the Second Degree for killing 45-year-old Issac Lee on November 19, 2019. He will face a mandatory sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole when he is sentenced on July 16, 2024.

  • Felon indicted on eight new felony charges including attempted murder

    An O‘ahu grand jury indicted Jeremyal Leedy, 40, on eight felony offenses including Attempted Murder in the First Degree, Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and Firearms Offenses for an alleged shooting in Mōʻiliʻili on April 2, 2024 that left a man in critical condition. He was also indicted for misdemeanor Harassment by Stalking.
